about
This is our newest online magazine, or Zine (e-Zine). It is yet another attempt evolutionary attempt to re-invent The Forum, our original publication dating back to 1994. It became Pub-X, then the eZine, then X, then Pub-X Online, then a few other things. Now it’s just nameless.
The new Zine format will be your information gateway to the amazing activity in this fellowship, and it should reduce the Xenos email pollution! Expect a quantum leap in quality from our gifted, new staff (names forthcoming). We are pulling together the fellowship’s finest writers and thinkers to distill the essential spiritual thoughts and trends swirling around us. We hope to capture the essence of a truly inspirational ministry for the hard-working brothers and sisters of our radical, exciting fellowship. We have an Editorial Slant which permeates the publication.
Key Editorial Slants
- Spirituality (as in ‘’biblical spirituality’’) Bringing praise to God and glorifying His name, first and foremost, must saturate the publication.
- Currents (as in “current thoughts and trends”). We need to help people keep focused and excited about the vital currents of this ministry.
- Repo (as in ‘’repository’’). All servants of the Lord—especially those teaching and discipling—sooner or later need vast infusions of inspirational and instructional material for their output, else their ministry grows dull and ineffective. The Nameless Zine will collect the best-of-breed material found useful by others in the same plight.
- Breakout (as in "breakout churches"). Significant breakthroughs are occurring in various ministry corners which others need to know about, and those serving need encouragement and insight for their own ministry spheres.
- Portal (as in, the ‘’entry point to Basecamp’’). Everyone needs to rise above the tyranny of urgent, daily ministry struggles to get a vision for the progress and direction we’re headed. The Nameless Zine will be an Oasis of refreshing insight and reflection before diving into the the headquarters for tyrannical urgencies commonly known as Basecamp.
- Newsflash (as in ‘’announcements’’). We need to fashion news and announcements into a more conceptual and motivational format which goes beyond mere information without reducing their practical viability.
- Whit. Sardonic and intelligent humor, where appropriate, to help us laugh at ourselves and quit taking everything so seriously.
- Relevance (as in ‘’social relevance’’). Keeping abreast of the problems, trends, threats and opportunities to assail the Kosmos at its weakest points, while maintaining a sober appreciation for the world view from inside the prison.
Feel free to add additional, related concepts or help us sharpen the above Editorial Slants.
